On Wednesday, January 23 the House of Representatives voted to uphold the President’s veto of H.R. 3963 by a vote of 260 – 152. On October 18, 2007, the House of Representatives sustained an earlier Presidential veto of SCHIP reauthorization legislation. The latest vote disposes of all pending SCHIP legislation.

The current SCHIP program is funded through March 31, 2009.
